Muscat, Oman          2015-18
Architecture – Engineering – Supervision

The project covered the renovation of the 1985 building through its fourth refurbishment, without the availability of accurate documents of existing conditions. The scope covered 120 rooms, 8 presidential suites, the reception, ballroom, main restaurant and the complete reconstruction of the hotel forecourt. The role of CDD, as the local consultant to Wimberly Interiors of WATG, London, encompassed the architectural, MEP and structural design works, on the ground coordination and construction supervision. The three year project was a balancing act across continents between the main design team, seven sub-consultants, an extensive Client body from two government entities, a main contractor, eight sub-contractors, and six suppliers.
