Salalah, Oman 2009
Architecture – Engineering – Interior – Landscape
The beach-front Movenpick Salalah hotel lies adjacent to the local marina and downtown. The design incorporates over 400 hotel rooms, several restaurants and shops, separate spa facilities, and sophisticated back-of-house facilities that serve all ends of the sprawling resort. The design also incorporates 40 serviced standalone villas across the lagoon. The design reflects a modern Arabian approach that was sensitive to the dramatic environmental conditions of Salalah, as well as key features of the local architectural language.
